Basking Ridge is an unincorporated area in the Somerset Hills area of Somerset County. It is located completely within Bernards Township, with a total land area of 21.66 square miles. Population is estimated at 24,600 people as of 2000 with a total of 9,300 households.
Basking Ridge is accessible by major highways Interstate 287 and 78. Towns in it’s proximity include Pepack-Gladstone, Somerville, Bridgewater and Morristown.
Basking Ridge is served by one of the top education systems in the state. Greatschools.org rates the district as a 10 out of 10. Included in the Bernards Township System are Ridge High School and Cedar Hill Elementary which serve the residents of Basking Ridge among other schools.
